    What you will do

    This position is located Remote within USA to centrally support the branch level of operations related to machinery and equipment diagnostics. Qualified candidates will have 15+ years of experience in HVAC equipment repair, maintenance and troubleshooting. They will also be expected to perform most of the daily activities using computers and programs that assists in diagnostics and reporting of various type of machines including, Chillers (water and air cooled), cooling towers, pumps and AHUs.

    A strong background in Chiller operations and troubleshooting is required. Experience with Excel, Word and fundamental computer applications like Outlook, Chrome, IE are a benefit for this position.

    Working Remotely (not located in Milwaukee) is an option for this position. Computer hardware and application will be provided along with phone applications needed to support branch operations. If remote, you will be expected to operate and utilize various applications to diagnose and report on machinery condition with minimal oversight. Training will be provided, but basic computer knowledge and operation will be preferred. You will also be expected to log into a phone support que to provide technical support to customers (internal and external).

    As a member of the Connected Chiller Support Team you will work with other analyst with various skill sets including chillers diagnostics, HVAC general diagnostics, Vibration, Oil, refrigerant, Motor Current Analytics. The future will be passionate about Artificial Intelligence and advanced machine learning. You will help build the future of our diagnostics platform that support our service organization that keep Johnson controls on the leading edge of efficient, technically advanced service delivery business.

    How you will do it:

    • Analyze performance and condition data utilizing engineering principles and software tools.

    • Perform Daily Dashboard Review and deep dive analytics on remotely connected equipment.

    • Generate reports with observations and recommendations on the performance, condition, operation and maintenance of building equipment and systems.

    • Reviews reports generated by others to insure quality and accuracy.

    • Direct day to day activities related to data analysis, report generation, and field support.

    • Provide advanced support to field account teams for interpreting the data and reports in order to improve the operations and maintenance of building equipment and systems.

    • Works with the field to improve general operation and maintenance processes.

    • Provides advanced sales support to field account teams in estimating, proposing and selling new services and equipment retrofits.

    • Research new equipment and system types and identify and approve new data analysis techniques and rules to expand the scope and quality of Connected services.

    • Trains other team members and field technicians on data analysis, report generation and field support.

    • Direct software developers and IT resources to improve the quality, automate the delivery, and increase the reliability of Connected services applications

    • Prepare, write and/or approve internal and field process documentation on the startup and delivery of connected services.

    • Leads and/or works on cross-functional teams to develop and deploy new services to be delivered by the field and/or Predictive Team.

    • Work directly with end customers to advise on maintenance activities driving additional revenue streams for JCI in the service business.

    What we look for

    • 15+ years' experience with Chiller diagnostics, maintenance, repair and trouble shooting.

    • General overall knowledge of HVAC equipment, building automation systems and energy management and monitoring systems.

    • Able to solve complex service operational and maintenance problems.

    • Able to communicate expertly with customers at all levels, internal and external.

    • Possess appropriate industry certifications.

    • Proven leadership abilities, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Some travel may be required (less than 10% anticipated).

    • Ability to work in a high paced service environment with shifting priorities.

    • Work with other cross functional teams to develop and deploy new services to be delivered by the field and Predictive Team.

    • General computer and mobile application skills would be preferred, and are a key part of future development in this position.
