Job Description
Description

Stanley Consultants is currently seeking a skilled Power System Studies Engineer with 5+ years of experience in High Voltage Transmission System studies using tools like PSS/E, PSLF, ASPEN, or CAPE.

You'll need a deep understanding of NERC reliability requirements and regional reliability councils such as PJM, MISO, NPCC, SPP, CAISO, WECC, SERC, ERCOT and NYISO.

As part of our team, you'll be at the helm of analytical studies, reviewing and optimizing power supply systems up to 500 kV. Your work will encompass everything from steady-state power flow to dynamic stability, voltage collapse, transient system performance, short-circuit calculations, transmission line constants, dynamic transmission line element ratings, system impact studies, generator interconnection studies, and breaker coordination with relay settings.

In addition to your expertise in High Voltage Transmission System studies, we highly value experience with 500 kV phase shifting transformers, dynamic breaking resistors, and filter banks. Proficiency with SEL acSELerator software is a significant advantage.

While a PE (Professional Engineer) license or the ability to obtain one within a year is strongly preferred, it's not mandatory. We are looking for individuals who excel in organization and attention to detail, especially when documenting and executing tasks.

Communication is key in our dynamic environment. We value strong technical writing and interpersonal skills, as you'll be interacting with peers, project partners, utilities, and independent system operators.

If you thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment and want to make a real impact in the field of power systems, apply now and be part of our exciting journey into the future of energy technology. This is your opportunity to unleash your potential and shape the power systems of tomorrow! Stanley Consultants, where professionalism meets purpose.
